Adjustment in New Season 4 Flight Courses Added in Shanghai Part of Scheduled Flights of China Eastern Airlines Move Eastwardly News of Orient Network in March 23: From March 27,the national civil aviation flight plan in summer and autumn will bring into effect.And part of the former flights,the schedules and the frequencies of the fights will be adjusted accordingly.In terms of Shanghai,there will be 4 new national and international flight courses.Yesterday,China Eastern Airlines announced that it would adjust part of scheduled flights.Since the Passenger Building B of Hongxiao Airport is being rebuilt,China Eastern Airlines and a small number of its flight will move from there to Pudong Airport.Yesterday,the reporter known from the Bureau of Civil Aviation that the national civil aviation flight plan in summer and autumn will bring into effect from March 27 to October 29.There will be 33 more flight courses,including 4 international flights and 29 national flights.Among them,there are 4 flight courses departing from or stopping by Shanghai,which are"Beijing-Shanghai-Bombay"and"Shanghai-Dunhuang"of China Eastern Airlines,and"Shanghai-Qinhuangdao"and"Shanghai-Xi'an-Jiayuguan"of Shanghai Airlines.It is reported that the course of"Shanghai-Dunhuang"is planned to begin its service in this May,its flight number is MU 2352,and there will be one flight every day per week.In addition,since the departure check-in hall in the second floor of the passenger building B of Hongxiao Airport is closed and being rebuilt and the runway of Hongxiao Airport will be overhauled from July to October 20 in this year.On the other hand,the second runway of Pudong has been in use since March 17,therefore,in the new flight season,China Eastern Airlines will increase national flight frequency in Pudong Airport and will decrease the number of flights in Hongxiao Airport,such as the flights from Shanghai to Chengdu,Chongxing,Yantai (not confirmed),and some of short-term flights such as the flight from Shanghai to Nanjing will move to Pudong Airport.According to statistics,after the adjustment,the national flights of China Eastern Airlines departing from Shanghai in Pudong Airport will increase from 60 to more than 100.But China Eastern Airlines expressed that currently there are 155 its flights departing from Hongxiao Airport everyday,and in the new flight season,there is no substantial decrease in the number of flights in Hongxiao Airport.It is reported that when the rebuild process of the passenger building B of Hongxiao Airport is complete,it will be use by China Eastern Airlines.So the number of the flights of China Eastern Airlines will increase in great extent,and it is forecasted to increase over 30%.Additionally,in order to improve the check-in process and insure the regular flight service,China Eastern Airlines plan to build 2 no luggage check-in islands and 29 luggage check-in counters.There are 55 check-in counters in the islands to facilitate the passengers without luggage to finish the boarding process.It is an effective way to distribute part of the passengers to alleviate the pressure of the public counters and to shorten passenger's time in the airport.It is uncertain that whether the flights temporarily moving eastwardly will move back to Hongxiao Airport.Source: News Morning Newpaper
